InterGeoYear- a Microfiction Challenge

Lima-at-night

We finally got our solar-powered cities,

transatlantic undersea high speed rail,

and permanent space stations.

Beautiful.

I even got a spandex jacket. Keeps me warm at night.

You rocketed to the Moon. Less smog, I know.

But I miss you.

I look up, imagine you’re waving at me.

In spandex I can finally wave back.

Thanks to Jezri’s Nightmares for this microfiction challenge!

  1. I like this one, CM.
It has a lonely feel to it that meshes with the pic perfectly.

  2. Yeah, that was a contender, but I wanted an excuse to write about spandex. 😉
